For a healthy start to life and a resilient society

Who are we?

The Belgian Alliance for Perinatal Mental Health (BAPMH) is a collective of organizations forming one strong voice for parents and babies in the first 1000 days.

We know that perinatal mental problems are common, that they deeply affect the lives of mothers, partners and babies, and that they have a lasting impact on families and our society. We also know what works. There are plenty of scientific evidence and solutions. What’s missing is action.

That’s why we bring together organizations from all over Belgium to force change among policymakers. The more we unite our voices, the stronger we are.

Join BAPMH and stand with us in demanding that every parent and baby receives the mental support they deserve. Together, we make the difference.

Our mission

The Belgian Alliance for Perinatal Mental Health fights for action to fundamentally improve the mental health of parents & babies in the first 1000 days.

Our call

We know what is needed. We know what works. It is time to invest in parents and babies. Time for political action. We call on all healthcare and welfare organizations to endorse our manifesto.

Together, let’s join forces to increase the pressure and urge governments to invest in what really matters: the health and well-being of parents and babies. A society that supports parents and children even before conception is building a resilient future.

Vision without action,
Is just a dream

Action without vision,
Just passes the time

And vision with action,
Can change the world
