For a healthy start to life and a resilient society

Who are we?

The Belgian Alliance for Perinatal Mental Health (BAPMH) is a collective of organizations that are one powerful voice for parents and babies in the first 1000 days.

We know that perinatal mental problems are common, that they interfere deeply in the lives of mothers, partners and babies, and that they have a lasting impact on families and our society. We also know what works. There are plenty of scientific evidence and solutions. What is missing is action.

That is why we unite organizations from all over Belgium to force change among policy makers together. The more we pool our voices, the stronger we are.

Join BAPMH and demand that every parent and baby receive the mental support they deserve. Together, we make a difference.

Our mission

The Belgian Alliance for Perinatal Mental Health is fighting for action to fundamentally improve the mental health of parents & babies in the first 1000 days.

Our call

We know what it takes. We know what works. It's time to invest in parents and babies. Time for political action. We call on all healthcare and welfare organizations to endorse our manifesto.

Together, let's increase the pressure and encourage governments to invest in what really matters: the health and well-being of parents and babies. A society that protects parents and children even before conception is building a resilient future.

Vision without action,
Is just a dream

Action without vision,
Just passes the time

And vision with action,
Can change the world
